Johanna Blakely is a professor, Deputy Director at the Norman Lear Center at the University of Southern California (USC) and a reference in questions relating to fashion law.
On July 20, 2011, Blakley commented on her video saying that "Just wanted to post a quick note saying that the House Judiciary Committee held a hearing on July 15th, 2011, about extending copyright protection to the fashion industry. I'm working with Public Knowledge to try to convince lawmakers that this is a terrible idea. Please let me know if you have any data or ideas to contribute.
