WHY SHOULD FASHION DESIGNS NOT BE PROTECTED

In this video, Blakley explains and argues why fashion designs shoud NOT be protected. The lecture was given during the TEDxUSC 2010.

Johanna Blakely is a professor, Deputy Director at the Norman Lear Center at the University of Southern California (USC) and a reference in questions relating to fashion law.

On July 20, 2011, Blakley commented on her video saying that "Just wanted to post a quick note saying that the House Judiciary Committee held a hearing on July 15th, 2011, about extending copyright protection to the fashion industry. I'm working with Public Knowledge to try to convince lawmakers that this is a terrible idea. Please let me know if you have any data or ideas to contribute. You can reach us at @mojojohanna or @publicknowledge."
