VICTORIA'S SECRET SUED FOR KNOCKING OFF ITS OWN PRODUCTS

Apparently Victoria's Secret has been misleading consumers by knocking off its own hosiery line. At the least according to Zephyr - Victoria's Secret former hosiery supplier.

Zephyrs filed a suit against Victoria's Secret seeking US$ 15 million in damages for breach of contract for directly contacting Zephyrs' suppliers. Zephyrs argues that the lingerie company has been using images of Zephyrs-produced hosiery on its packaging, but that the product inside is no longer produced by Zephyrs and is of lesser quality with cheaper lace trims, irregular borders, missing heel reinforcements and less durable construction.

In addition, Zephyrs alleges unfair competition and false advertising and asks that VS corrects its advertising and recall the products in question, which includes the Lace Top Fish Net Stockings, Fish Net Thigh-Highs With Backseam and a Signature Stripe Thigh-High With Bows

The complaint was filed on August 10, 2012 at the Federal Court in Columbus, Ohio, where VS's headquarters is located: Runberg, Inc. d/b/a Zephyrs v. Victoria's Secret Stores, Inc., et al., 2:12-cv-722-EAS-MRA (S.D. Ohio).
