BRAZILIAN CONGRESS PASSES A BILL THAT REGULATES THE PROFESSION OF DESIGNERS


The Committee on Constitution,  Justice and Citizenship of the Brazilian House of Representatives has passed a bill (Projeto de Lei nÂș 1.397) that will [finally] regulate the profession of designers in the country. The session was held on March 21, 2013.

According to the bill, a designer is every professional who performs specialized technical-scientific, artistic and creative activities for the development of systems and/or products and visual messages projects that can be produced in scale and industrialized that establish a relationship with the a person, both in terms of usage and perception, in order to meet the needs for materials and information.

The bill will now move to the Brazilian Senate to be discussed and approved.
